> Update – Dudley Park Medical Centre Premises
Following changes to the ownership of the building where Dudley Park Medical Centre is based, Midlands Medical Partnership (MMP) and NHS Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are working together to find alternative and appropriate premises in the local area.
MMP has signed a lease with the new owners of the building, meaning that for the next 12 months the practice will remain where it is, patients will not see any changes, and will be able to continue to access appointments in the same way.
MMP and the CCG are currently carefully considering a number of options, to ensure that suitable alternative premises are found as soon as possible.
We look forward to providing a further update in due course.
If you have any questions or comments then please speak to a member of the reception team.

> Cervical Cancer Awareness
Cervical Cancer Awareness Week is running from Monday 20th – Friday 26th January 2020
As many as one in four women fail to get their smear test done when invited by the National Screening Programme. As cervical cancer is much more treatable when caught in the early stages – there is an increased drive to try and get as many women as possible checked for possible abnormalities.
What is Cervical Cancer?
Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that develops in a woman’s cervix (the entrance to the womb from the vagina) and often has no symptoms in the early stages.
The most common is abnormal bleeding (in between your period, after sexual intercourse etc). Abnormal bleeding does not mean that you definitely have cervical cancer, but you should always get it investigated by your GP as soon as possible.
How can you reduce the risk of getting Cervical Cancer?
- The best way to protect yourself is to attend routine cervical screening
- Be aware of the symptoms of cervical cancer and seek medical advice if experiencing any of them
- Know where to find support and further information
How to book an appointment
