Please note these sessions are for pre-booked scheduled appointments only
On Wednesdays and Thursdays from 13:00, there is no telephone access to the staff at Erdington Medical Centre but the surgery is usually open for booked appointments and reception enquiries. If you require a doctor in an emergency on these afternoons, please telephone 0300 555 9999 and your call will be diverted to our out-of-hours service, BADGER, who will put you through to a duty Doctor.
Home VisitsRequests for home visits will be accepted for medical reasons only, if, in the doctor’s opinion, a home visit is clinically necessary. Please telephone the surgery before 10.30am to request a visit.
The receptionist will ask for full details of the patient, including a telephone number, and the reason for the visit. This information enables the doctors to plan their calls and allows urgent visits to be dealt with promptly.
Out of Hours VisitsIf you fall ill at night or during the weekend and you are too ill to wait until opening hours, please telephone 0300 555 9999. Out of hours calls will be dealt with by Birmingham & District GP Emergency room (BADGER), a cooperative of local general practitioners of which the Erdington Medical Centre doctors are members.
The practice retains overall 24 hour responsibility for the care of its registered patients.
