We are looking for enthusiastic & highly motivated Practice Nurses to join our friendly nursing team providing high quality care to our patients on an ad-hoc basis mainly covering our extended hours clinics on Saturday and Sunday mornings. There are also evening shifts available from 6.30 to 8pm Monday to Friday

MMP has a very supportive Practice Nurse network across all our sites with regular nurse meetings and an active in-house education programme.

We are looking to recruit the right individual with at least one year’s experience in general practice. Someone who is confident in working independently yet is able to work collaboratively with other members of the primary care team.

You should have experience of carrying out the full range of practice nurse duties, including childhood immunisations, cervical screening, asthma, COPD and diabetes reviews & will be expected to work to templates to ensure that the practice retains high achievement in QOF & Enhanced services.

Hourly rate is £30/hour

Lead Nurse

Midlands Medical Partnership (MMP) is a group partnership which provides NHS GP services to over 67,000 patients over 10 surgeries across Birmingham, with 16 GP’s partners and 20 Practice Nurses.

We are looking for an enthusiastic & highly motivated Lead Nurse to join our friendly team providing high quality care to our patients.

The Lead Nurse working with other internal stakeholders will strategically coordinate nursing care for all MMP patients via the MMP nursing team.  They will have direct contact with patients, focus on supervising employees and act as a link between nursing staff and MMP Management.

MMP has a very supportive Practice Nurse network across all our sites, with regular nurse meetings and an active in-house education programme.  As lead nurse you will be expected to take the lead in facilitating these activities.

The Lead Nurse will oversee from a nursing perspective key performance indicators such as access, QOF, CCG LISs, contractual requirements, nurse led clinical targets and enhanced service provision.  In addition the Lead Nurse will coordinate the MMP nursing team in all aspects relation to compliance and regulation.

You should have experience of carrying out the full range of practice nurse duties, including childhood immunisations & cervical screening & will be expected to work to templates to ensure that the practice retains high achievement in QOF & Enhanced services.  You will be responsible for managing the clinical supervision process for all MMP nurses, HCA’s and the MMP phlebotomy team.  The successful candidate will be required to support the full recruitment cycle of new MMP nurses and supporting new nurses’ induction processes. 

MMP is a teaching practice, therefore you will be expected to participate in student nurse mentorship programmes, and to organise and support MMP nurses and nurse associates throughout the MMP preceptorship programme.
