Paramedic Practitioner

Hours: 37.5

Type of contract:              Permanent 

The successful applicants will be expected to work: Monday to Friday, to cover shifts ranging from 8.30am until 6.30pm: Monday to Friday.

We currently have exciting opportunities to join our team as a Paramedic Practitioner. Are you interested in putting patient care at the forefront of the work you deliver? Midlands Medical Partnership (MMP) is a Birmingham super-partnership currently caring for 67,000 Birmingham & Solihull CCG patients across North and Central Birmingham operating out of 10 sites. The partnership was established in April 2009 and continues to grow as a single integrated primary care provider, alongside collaborative working with other similar organisations in our region as part of its strategic forward view.

We aim to ensure our services and functions operate in the most efficient way, meaning clinicians can focus on their core role and delivering a high standard of patient care.

This dynamic partnership with a team of over 200 clinicians and staff is managed by a single executive board, with centralised organisational functions, strong leadership and governance structures. This is all delivered whilst maintaining a patient centred, individual approach at each of our sites.

The successful candidate will work as part of the MMP Clinical team to use your advanced clinical skills to provide education to service users, promoting self-care and empower them to make informed choices about their treatment. As well as assess, diagnose, treat or signpost patients/ service users (who are triaged through to you from the Clinical Hub) with undifferentiated or undiagnosed condition relating to minor illness or minor injury.

In addition, you will contribute to reductions in hospital admissions and readmissions by identifying and pro-actively supporting patients to provide education to help aid self-care and empower them to make informed choices about their treatment. 

We are looking for two full time Paramedic Practitioners, who are enthusiastic and motivated to participate in a model of patient care.  You will have fully accredited clinical skills qualifications, and have current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.  You will be part of a superb team and benefit from close supervision and support on clinical queries.

The positions will be based at either Eaton Wood Medical Centre or All Saints Medical Centre.

Clinical Target Team Administrator

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to work within the Clinical Target Team (CTT) supporting various income stream contracts including: Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) Direct enhanced Services (DES), Aspiring to Clinical Excellence ( ACE) and Local Enhanced Services (LES).

This opportunity is open to all Reception and Administration staff.

Key Tasks include:

Provide administrative support to the function including the maintenance of robust information systems.

  • Analyse various information and data to explore trends / comparisons etc.
  • Assist with the production and presentation of reports summarising performance of contracts for consideration by the senior managers.
  • Able to work on own initiative, prioritising work, within defined policies and procedures to set timescales.
  • Have a flexible/ adaptable approach in order to meet various deadlines.
  • Completion of any work streams agreed by the Clinical Target Team (CTT) Team Leader.

Full training will be given as required in relation to the QOF and ACE contacts.

The vacancy is based at Eaton Wood Medical Centre, 1128 Tyburn Road, Erdington, Birmingham, B24 0SY.  This is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months to cover a maternity leave, working 37.5 hours per week.

GP Receptionist/Administrator – 12 Month Maternity Cover (Fixed Term)

We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist – Admin to work at Old Priory Surgery to cover a 12 month maternity leave period, working 18 hours per week.

To cover shifts ranging from 8.00am until 6.30pm: Monday to Friday.

Working pattern to be confirmed.

Experience is preferred although it is not essential as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have strong IT skills: be well organised, excellent communications skills and must be able to work flexible hours.

Bank Receptionist – South Birmingham

Midlands Medical Partnership ( MMP) is a partnership of 17 GPs which provide NHS GP services to over 67,000 patients over 11 surgeries across Birmingham.

We are currently recruiting for Bank GP Receptionist/Administrators for our surgeries in the South of Birmingham (All Saints Medical Centre, Broadmeadow Surgery, Old Priory Surgery & Dudley Park Medical Centre).

To cover shifts ranging from Monday to Friday 8.00am – 8.00pm, Saturday & Sunday 8.00am – 12.00 noon.

The hours are ad-hoc and are dependent on site need.

Experience of working within a GP surgery or Receptionist role interacting with members of the general public is desirable, full training will be provided. We are looking for staff to join our team, who have a passion for excellent customer service, are well organised, and have strong IT skills.
